Dawn in the city

It's Always Darkest Before The Dawn

It's been a while since I've updated the Martek blog and now is as good a time as any to keep everyone up-to-date with Martek's doings.

With the COVID-19 pandemic and societal lock-down dominating the headlines, not much has changed internally at Martek Instruments. Since we provide critical analytical instrumentation to the power generation market, we are considered an essential company and are operating under normal conditions though we take all of the precautionary steps everyone must take during this time of heightened awareness, i.e. wash hands, keep surfaces clean, avoid unnecessary contact, etc. My travels to power plants has been curtailed to some degree, but many plants are in their spring outages and are concentrating on major projects other than analytical instrumentation anyway.

I'm very pragmatic when it comes to Life and view this pandemic as another opportunity to learn and progress in our understanding of ourselves and our environment. I believe it is contingent on everyone to do their best to appreciate what they have, work to improve their current situation, and to help others do the same. This is something that should be done every day and not just during a time of social upheaval or personal distress.

As always, we stand ready to assist everyone whether it be with analytical instrumentation, water chemistry, or simply someone to talk with in case you're going stir-crazy.

As we prepare for Passover and Easter, I want to wish everyone a blessed holiday of peace, hope and, of course, good health.
