"Everybody knows ya can't measure pH
in ultrapure water."
If we had dollar
for every time someone told us pH measurement in ultrapure water is
not possible, we could hire one of them fancy scientists with lots
of degrees to give a bunch of papers proving otherwise.
Instead, we invite all the skeptics to evaluate our pH monitoring
systems and find out for themselves just how accurate our analyzers
can be (we don't even use "proprietary" electrodes).
Fact of the matter is, we've been "doing" ultrapure water
pH measurements since the days when polyester and the BeeGees
weren't bad, but "baaaad".
So call, fax, e-mail,
write, or send a carrier pigeon for a demo or a list of folks who've
been using Martek products (and saving some serious green) over the

Have you heard
the NUSe?
It's that time of year to head on
down to Clearwater, Florida and partake of NUS's hospitality at the
1997 International Chemistry On-Line Instrumentation Seminar
(Hey Dan, how 'bout shortening the name a bit?).
Scheduled
for November 19-21, this is an excellent opportunity to learn what's
available in on-line instrumentation, meet (or beat) the vendors,
and trade lies with your colleagues. We can certainly think of worse
places to spend the winter.
For information and
registration, call Donna Johnson or Tina Petrofski at (800)637-2743
ext. 3316 or 3317.
And now, a
word from our Sponsor.
In our humble attempts
to provide useful information to our customers, we have always tried
to refrain from crass commercialism, striving instead for scientific
objectivity in respect to the somber, almost hallowed mission
assigned to our readership: To generate the force that lights
our world.
On the other hand, it pays to advertise.
So in this issue of the Monitor, we devote as much ink as possible
to brazenly promote our newest product designed to save the Free
World: The Mark 25 Ultrapure Water Conductivity Analyzer.
