Martek Does it
Again!

Last issue, we announced extended warranties for several of our sensors.

Folks were quite impressed about our lifetime warranty for conductivity sensors and five year warranty for dissolved oxygen sensors

. Well, that got Marketing to thinking, "Hey! If we can do this for sensors, let's do the same for analyzers!"

Management was skeptical at first ("What?!?"). But they bought into the idea after consulting quality control records and speaking with lots of customers (who happened to like the idea)

. So, effective January 1, 1996, we are happy to announce a five year warranty on all models of on-line analyzers.

We believe security (along with value and service) is just as important to our customers as it is to us.

As utilities continue to wring as much efficiency out of their power plants as possible, every procedure and system is coming under renewed scrutiny.

This is especially true for condensers and demineralizers. With so much capital invest-ment at stake, it's no wonder power plants spend a lot of time trying to improve these critical components.

It's in this area that the Martek Dissolved Carbon Dioxide Analyzer is making its biggest impact. By different-iating between air inleakage and water chemistry as the cause of elevated measurements, the CO2 Analyzer allows chemists to respond to chemistry excursions while focusing maintenance personnel to any mechanical problems.

Or, as Uncle Festus used to say, "Kinda hard to ketcha squirrel when yo dawg's barkin'up the wrong tree!"

As advertising executive-types will attest, nothing beats a testimonial by a satisfied customer (though free tickets to the Super Bowl are a hard act to follow!)

Naturally, manufacturers just love to have their products extolled by someone in the industry because it lends credence to their various claims of greatness.

We also like testimonials, but we want our products and our company to be seen as part of a bigger message to our customers: That it's not just equipment, but people that make the difference in providing solutions to the problems we all face everyday.

In this issue, a chemist from a southern power plant describes the results of one of our instruments in reducing "trouble calls" for the maintenance of their existing on-line analyzers.
